Aviva Pittle LMT

124 Main St., Suite 8, New Paltz, NY, 12561

Aviva (she/her) was drawn to massage from a young age and graduated from the Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in Manhattan in 2004.Since then, she has studied reflexology and prenatal massage at the Swedish Institute, scar tissue release with Healwell in Virginia, and manual lymphatic drainage at the Academy of Lymphatic Studies. She practiced for 7 years in New York City before relocating to Washington DC, where she was a founding therapist at Freed Bodyworks, DC's first queer- and trans-owned holistic wellness center. She worked at Freed until it closed at the end of 2021, and had a private practice in DC until she moved to New Paltz at the end of 2025. She is excited to serve and get to know her local New Paltz and mid-Hudson Valley community. As a queer person herself, Aviva is passionate about serving the LGBTQ community as well as other marginalized communities. She believes everyone should be able to access bodywork in a space that feels safe and welcoming to them, and is dedicated to creating that space. Outside of work you'll find her attending Pilates classes, cooking, collecting anatomy art, walking the rail trail, exploring local cafes and bakeries, checking out local queer events, and watching Star Trek. She loves glitter but keeps it out of the treatment room.
