Alexa Starratt (MScPT) graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics. After gaining several years of clinical experience as a kinesiologist and athletic trainer here in Halifax, Alexa went on to achieve her Masters in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland in 2014. Since then, Alexa has worked as a physiotherapist in Calgary, AB and Melbourne, Australia. This has allowed her the opportunity to work with diverse populations and injuries (athletes, policemen and firemen, labourers, children, elderly and more). She is confident in treating all body parts and particularly, the patient as a whole. Alexa has developed a special interest in biomechanical movement faults and kinetic chain dysfunctions. She is passionate about delivering the best possible care. Alexa uses a thorough assessment along with education, manual therapy, a tool kit of modalities (includes dry needling, acupuncture, cupping, taping), exercise and movement re-education to design the best treatment for you. Alexa believes in an individualized approach to assist each patient through their rehabilitation process and help them achieve their goals.
