Shauna brings a deeply embodied approach to her work as a Registered Massage Therapist, shaped by a lifelong relationship with movement, awareness, and the intelligence of the body. With a professional background as a contemporary dance artist, she has choreographed and performed across Canada and internationally and taught in the Contemporary Dance Program at Simon Fraser University. She has also led yoga classes both privately and in studio settings throughout Vancouver. After the birth of her two children, the demands of balancing work and family life became a catalyst for a deeper inward journey. Through years of dedicated practice in meditation, yoga, and nutrition, along with extensive training and silent retreats, Shauna refined her understanding of how the body holds, processes, and releases tension. Driven by a genuine curiosity about how the body functions and heals, Shauna completed her studies at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and became a Registered Massage Therapist. Shauna’s work is collaborative, intuitive, and precise. She supports patients in reconnecting with their bodies while addressing specific areas of pain, restriction, or imbalance. Each treatment is tailored to the individual, blending therapeutic techniques with an awareness of the nervous system to support both immediate relief and long-term change. Her approach integrates Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, and relaxation-based techniques, applied with sensitivity to each patient’s unique needs and goals. She also emphasizes clear education and practical home care to support continuity between sessions. Shauna maintains a committed meditation practice and continues to teach mindfulness and yoga when time permits. She values movement as a vital expression of health and spends as much time as possible dancing, singing, travelling internationally with her choir, or immersed in nature. She looks forward to working with you and supporting your individual health journey.
