MSc.PT., BSc Physiotherapist, McMaster Contemporary Medical Neurofunctional Acupuncture, Orthopedics, Running Injuries Emma received her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University, after completing a Bachelor of Science Honours degree from the University of Toronto. She has a strong interest in treating musculoskeletal injuries, and uses a client-centered and evidence-based treatment approach, involving functional exercise, manual therapy and education. Having rehabbed multiple injuries as a young athlete herself, Emma understands the frustration and emotional toll injuries can have, as well as the opportunity they provide to develop better movement patterns and injury prevention strategies. Emma loves helping clients of all ages and abilities achieve their goals and get back to doing what they love. Emma has previously worked in orthopedic private practice in Toronto and Calgary, and has experience working with and treating a variety of conditions and clients. As an avid runner herself, Emma has experience and a particular interest in treating running injuries and working with athletes. Emma has completed the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program, and has completed additional training in manual therapy and running injury rehabilitation. Outside of the clinic, Emma enjoys all things outdoors, particularly running, cross-country skiing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, and travel.
