Hello! I'm Erin! A little bit about me: I spent 20 years in the United States Army witnessing wonderful human beings sacrificing and neglecting their own wellbeing for others. Their bodies were ran down from postponing care to ensure mission success. I witnessed numerous troops postpone mental care because they didn’t want their teammates to go without. I also witnessed the intense camaraderie that comes from helping people achieve their potential and overcome life’s challenges. Post retirement from military service, I realized what I had witnessed was also my own reality. I needed to learn how to take care of my mind, body, and spirit. In 2023, I enrolled in a Holistic Massage and Bodywork Therapy Program dedicated to teaching its students about self-care and the power of intentional touch. I expected to learn a lot of theory, techniques and a few good coping skills but in reality, I rediscovered the overwhelming joy I get from helping people to heal themselves. In 2024, I was awarded a diploma with the designation of Holistic Massage and Bodywork Therapist and became a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (LMBT). I am trained in many massage techniques to include prenatal, manual lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, chair, Swedish, myofascial release, and reflexology. I live in Wake Forest, NC with my partner. Massage
Prenatal massage is a specialized therapeutic bodywork designed to support the needs of pregnant individuals, using techniques like Swedish massage with gentle, relaxing strokes. Special cushions and side-lying positions are used to ensure comfort, focusing on relieving pregnancy discomforts such as back pain, joint pain, and swelling. Key benefits include reducing stress, easing physical discomforts, and improving sleep quality, though it’s recommended to consult a healthcare provider before scheduling.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapeutic technique that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet, hands, and ears, believed to correspond to various organs and systems in the body. This practice aims to promote relaxation, relieve stress, and support the body's natural healing processes by stimulating energy flow and circulation. Benefits of reflexology include reducing tension, improving circulation, enhancing overall well-being, and potentially alleviating discomfort in areas connected to the targeted reflex points.
Lymphatic Drainage
Is a gentle form of massage that helps stimulate the circulation of immune system fluids (lymph) in order to remove waste and toxins from body tissues. This massage involves light pressure and rhythmic strokes. It targets lymph flow into areas with a high concentration of lymph nodes, such as the neck, armpits, and groin. Benefits include reduces swelling, boosts immune system, and improves circulation.
