Lymphatic Drainage

60 Min Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Manual Lymphatic Drainage uses very light pressure to apply a specific sequence of relaxing techniques that enhance the function of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system plays an important role in the bodies natural healing process and immune response but due various reasons it may not be working efficiently and visible swelling (edema) develops. An MLD treatment is especially useful for improving wound healing and decreasing both chronic edema related to medical conditions and acute edema such as the swelling that occurs after an injury or surgery. A 45 minute treatment is ideal when dealing with one to 2 specific areas of the body while a 60 minute treatment is best when the goal is a whole system approach.
