Career Motivation: My passion for sports psychology and motor performance has always driven me to explore how we can use instruction and feedback to enhance not just performance, but also motivation. This curiosity led me to study athletic training during my undergraduate years. I then spent over a decade immersed in the fitness world, helping people refine their form and achieve their goals. However, I realized I wanted to go beyond just correcting form—I wanted to help people recover from real injuries. Now, as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I can blend coaching, fitness, and medicine to provide comprehensive care that truly makes a difference in my patients’ lives. Secret Superpower: Finding four-leaf clovers. Clinical Skills & Certifications: BS in Kinesiology, College of William & Mary, 2004 Doctor of Physical Therapy, Mary Baldwin University, 2020 PT, DPT NSCA-CPT FMS Level 2 SFMA Level 1 Brookbush Institute Integrative Manual Therapist Instrument-Assisted Manual Therapy (myofascial scraping), Cupping, Kinesiology Taping Fun and Exercise: I thrive on outdoor adventures that leave me muddy, bloody, or soaking wet—whether it’s mountain biking, trail running, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, or adventure racing. The longer and more challenging the day, the better. In the gym, I gravitate towards kettlebells, TRX, deadlifts, bodyweight exercises, spinning, and yoga. At home, the family is kept busy on the farm with chickens, a dog, and 25 acres of space to play! Passion Projects: I have a deep interest in tackling complex cases—those patients with persistent pain that others couldn’t resolve or with unusual movement patterns that need careful unraveling. Currently, I’m expanding my expertise in Anatomy Trains and physical therapy specifically tailored for rock climbers.

Initial Assessment

A 75-minute appointment in which you and your provider will complete a head-to-toe assessment. We implement whole body pattern assessments combined with joint-by-joint analyses in order to create a complete picture of what your injury is AND what underlying issues are driving your pain. We will also investigate life habits including sleep, nutrition, and daily activity in order to create a plan tailored to your needs.
