Karen French is a 2018 graduate of the Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy, one of the premier massage therapy schools in the country. She is skilled in a variety of techniques including Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Swedish (Relaxation), Complete Lymphedema Management including bandaging, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Hot Stone Therapy, Silicone Cupping, and Prenatal Massage. Karen’s favorite tools are clear communication with her clients and an intuitive approach that allows her to tailor each session to individual needs.
Massage
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a very gentle, light technique that helps to direct lymphatic fluid towards the lymph nodes. Lymphedema Management will help you maintain reduction of swelling in your limbs, abdomen, chest, and neck/face. No matter what stage lymphedema you are in, this will be a great option for therapy.
