Physiotherapist Michael attended the University of Ontario Institute of Technology where he completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Kinesiology (with distinction). During his undergraduate degree he worked closely with varsity level athletes and was awarded the “Student Trainer of the Year” award. Inspired by his experience as a student trainer, Michael went on to attend Queen’s University where he obtained a Master of Science in Physiotherapy degree. Michael takes an evidence-based approach to assessing and treating his patients and diligently keeps up with the latest scientific literature to provide high quality care. In accordance with his patients’ needs and goals, he strongly believes in including education, therapeutic exercise, and self-management strategies as components of his treatment plan. Michael continuously educates himself on emerging ideas in the field of Orthopaedic Physiotherapy and has special interests in pain science and lower extremity tendinopathies. Being credentialed in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), Michael has advanced training in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal pain and has taken a multitude of continuing education courses to diversify his current skillset. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys going to the gym, engaging in recreational sport, and playing the guitar.
