Scott Coughlin

PhysioGuru

PhysioGuru

Scott is a passionate physiotherapist with a strong background in exercise physiology and rehabilitation. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology at the University of British Columbia before completing his Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. During his time in Sydney, Scott gained experience treating a diverse range of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological, and sports-related conditions, including working as a team physiotherapist with a professional basketball team. Scott takes a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation, drawing on his background in exercise physiology and neurophysiology to understand how the body moves and adapts throughout the recovery process. He combines hands-on treatment with targeted exercise, movement retraining, and patient education to develop individualized rehabilitation programs based on each person's goals and needs. With experience across a broad range of conditions, Scott is passionate about all aspects of rehabilitation—from recovering from an acute injury or surgery, to managing persistent pain, improving strength and mobility, returning to sport, or simply helping people move and function at their best. He believes effective physiotherapy goes beyond treating symptoms, focusing instead on building confidence, capacity, and long-term function. Outside of the clinic, Scott enjoys staying active through running, biking, climbing, hockey, and exploring the outdoors.
