Dr. Shaun Batte’s uses a functional and biomechanical approach towards sports injurytherapy. By studying and practicing in this way, Shaun has become very astute at finding and treating the root causes of pain, not necessarily just the symptomatic sites. To best accommodate this treatment style, Shaun has sought out certifications in Active Release Techniques, Contemporary Acupuncture and kinesio-taping to help become a more well rounded practitioner. Before his studies to become a chiropractor at CMCC, Shaun completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph where he graduated with a major in Human Kinetics (Kinesiology) and a minor in Nutrition with distinction. While studying at Guelph, Dr. Batte also attained the status of a certified fitness consultant. He decided to further his understanding of fitness training while at CMCC by obtaining his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Dr. Batte used that knowledge to work as a personal trainer while studying to become a chiropractor.
