Angela graduated from the Master of Physical Therapy program at Western University, after receiving an Honors Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Psychology from the University of Toronto Mississauga. With an inclination towards education, Angela takes the time to help you understand your condition and the steps that need to be taken for rehabilitation. She believes in a holistic method of treatment, i.e. determining the different factors in one’s life that contributes to one’s health, while also honing in on the root causes of the physical problems that patients experience. Angela has experience working with a variety of orthopaedic conditions such as acute/chronic neck and low back pain, fractures, repetitive strain injuries, arthritic, and rheumatic pain. She has worked with clients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, post-stroke difficulties, post-polio syndrome, post-amputation, post-concussion symptoms, fibromyalgia, and chronic lung disease. Her special interests lie in chronic pain, post-concussion care, and neurological care. In the near future, Angela wishes to expand her knowledge into vestibular physiotherapy. In the fitness realm, Angela has experience treating rock climbers, soccer players, basketball players, muay thai practitioners, volleyball players, and gym-goers. She herself spends her free time bouldering and swimming, providing her insight to the challenges and needs of the athletic population. In a session with Angela, she aims to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for her clients, inviting them to speak their personal pain stories in order to inform the creation of individualized rehabilitation goals. Treatment sessions would contain a united effort in reaching those rehabilitation goals through a combination of the following: therapeutic exercise, functional activity training, soft tissue work, joint mobilizations, modality usage, and education.
