As a physiotherapist, Dana has been the owner and director of ProActive Pilates since 2003. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1996. She is a STOTT Certified Pilates Instructor, a Certified PfilAtes (Pelvic Floor Pilates) instructor, a Stretch Therapist and Fascial Release Therapist. Dana has over 25 years experience assessing and prescribing exercises to treat the following issues: poor posture, pelvic girdle, sacroiliac joint & low back pain, malalignments, instabilities and resulting overuse injuries. Having taken multiple post-graduate courses in women’s health issues, Dana can also assess and treat diastasis recti (abdominal separation), post-natal muscle weakness, pelvic floor weakness or tightness and urinary incontinence. Dana combines the best of both Physiotherapy and Pilates knowledge to target your concerns in a 1 on 1 or small group setting. She is a mother of two and was a member of the Canadian National Women’s Field Hockey Team and competed for Canada at the international level at the World Cup and Pan-Am Games.

Includes a review of medical history, a hands-on assessment of your alignment and core muscle activation patterns and a treatment plan. All new clients must complete this before starting any treatments or sessions.
