Hi, I’m Beatriz. Originally from Brazil and a Vancouver resident for the past six years, I am currently a massage therapy student at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT). My journey into bodywork began with a BA in Dance. Years of professional training gave me an intimate understanding of human movement, anatomy, and the importance of body awareness. I discovered that I could translate my passion for movement into a healing practice, helping others find the same balance and fluidity I sought as a dancer. In my sessions, you can expect a welcoming, caring, and collaborative environment. I believe that effective treatment starts with listening. I often begin with a lighter approach to techniques; I find that by first calming the nervous system and warming the tissues, the body becomes more receptive to deeper work, leading to more sustainable results. During my time at the VCMT student clinic, I’ve had great success integrating Myofascial Release, PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation), and General Swedish Massage. I am particularly passionate about: - Core & Digestive Health: Utilizing abdominal massage to support digestion and ease menstrual discomfort. - Headache Management: Reducing tension and frequency of chronic headaches. - Jaw & Facial Comfort: Helping to ease jaw tension and clicking (TMJ) for better relaxation and alignment. Whether you are looking to manage a specific condition or simply want to restore your body’s natural rhythm, I look forward to working together to reach your wellness goals.
