#204, 1055 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC, V6E 3P3
Elisabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy degree from Dalhousie University. She has over 12 years’ working experience as a physiotherapist, in orthopedics including private practice clinics, return to work conditioning programs, and inpatient and outpatient hospital departments throughout southern New Brunswick, the Lower Mainland and Vancouver. Her extensive involvement in post graduate training supports her belief in evidence-based practice as a means to provide optimum physiotherapy care services to the public. Throughout her career, she has been deemed a medical expert witness by the Work Safe BC Appeals tribunal, a Running Specialist by The Running Clinic, a level III Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapist, an Anatomical Acupuncturist by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute, a Chan Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation Practitioner by the University of British Columbia, and a ConnectTherapy and The Thoracic Ring Approach Series Graduate by Dr. Linda-Joy Lee International. Since her time at Sitka Physio and Wellness, she has also gained experience in Ergonomic Assessment and has provided such services to Downtown corporations. As a health care provider, her philosophy is that in order to develop a sense of trust and respect in a professional relationship, it is essential to recognize one as a whole person, both mind and body, and not solely as a physical injury. She uses a holistic treatment approach, integrating her knowledge of manual therapy, exercise, needling and movement retraining along with sport and return to work specific conditioning to help motivate her clients in achieving their personal goals. Elisabeth takes great pride in her craft and is passionate towards determining the root cause of an injury so as to ensure prevention. When not at work, Elisabeth enjoys snowshoeing, downhill skiing, running, gym workouts along with traveling and spending time with her family and friends. https://www.sitkaphysio.com/our-team/elisabeth-mclatchie/
