Sonora has 20 years of experience as a Massage Therapist. She is a compassionate and highly educated therapist that takes time to get to the core issues concerning pain management, stress relief, misalignments, and mobility issues. Sonora has spent the majority of her career in a chiropractic clinic setting working to address acute pain, muscle, and soft tissue imbalances. In 2005, Sonora traveled to Thailand where she studied traditional Thai Massage at the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai, Thailand. Sonora is educated in multiple modalities of human anatomy, muscle and soft tissue functions. As a graduate of the National Academy of Sports Medicine, Sonora received her credentials as a Certified Personal Trainer with specializations in Corrective Exercise and Fitness Nutrition. Sonora has also spent the last few years studying Aquatic Integration (A.I.) , a form of Watsu aquatic therapy, at the Aquatic Integration Institute (A.I.I.) of California. She has apprenticed under Cameron West, the founder of A.I.I., and has shadowed A.I. therapists at Vernon Memorial Hospital of Wisconsin's Aquatic Therapy Center. A final fun fact about Sonora: is that she also has a great reputation with the Music Industry as a "massage therapist to the stars!" She has worked on various tours with artists such as: Alice Cooper, The Eagles, Kid Rock, Rod Stewart, Poison, Daughtry, New Kids on the Block and many others.

Massage Therapy

Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. Kinesiology Taping

Sonora is a Certified Kinesiology Taping Practitioner. Kinesio Taping has been proven to have positive physiological effects on the skin, lymphatic and circulatory system, fascia, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints. Kinesiology tape has been used to help treat hamstring pulls, shoulder pain, and back pain, reduces healing time of bruises and swollen/inflamed joints and helps with posture correction. We use Rock Tape, which is water and sauna proof and lasts up to 10 days or longer.
