Emily is a former varsity rugby athlete and understands the importance of reducing injury risk, maintaining strength, and returning to sport/activity. She has experience learning from top strength and conditioning coaches and is proficient in implementing exercise and rehabilitation programs. Emily attended York University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a certificate in Athletic Therapy. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at CMCC. Her experience before Guelph Performance included both public practice and varsity clinical and team support. She works with athletes and active individuals recovering from ACL injuries, specializing in ACL prehab, post-operative rehabilitation, and objective strength testing. She also supports individuals undergoing total knee replacement rehabilitation, guiding patients through progressive strength training, mobility restoration, and functional return to daily activities. Her evidence-based approach emphasizes safe progression, movement quality, return-to-sport readiness, and long-term knee health.
This one hour appointment will include a detailed history, orthopedic assessment of your condition, treatment planning, and assignment of a home program to get started on your recovery. Please book this type of appointment if it is your first Athletic Therapy visit, if you are coming for a new reason, or if you have not been to the clinic for more than 3 months.
