Tess is a registered massage therapist who graduated at the top of her class at Robertson College and was granted the Academic Excellence Award. She also has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science which is how she deeply understands how to utilizes therapeutic techniques into her treatment plans. Tess brings a wealth of athletic knowledge into her practice as she’s comes from a diverse background in volleyball, lacrosse, baseball and hockey, just to name a few. Hockey is where she has spent the last 5 years coaching, received a full ride scholarship to play NCAA DI hockey at Bemidji State University, was a WCHA Scholar-Athlete and later finished her professional career in Sweden. Tess uses her experience in sport to first hand understand athletic demand to optimize optimal performance. Whether that’s maintenance to make sure all gears are running smoothly, prepping for an event or it’s getting you off an injury and back into the game you love. She has spent the last seven years working with high level elite athletes but also enjoys working with people who want to improve their general performance. Her passion in massage therapy stems around anatomy and how miraculously fascinating the human body is. Massage therapy is something everyone can benefit from as it can aid in recovery and injury prevention. Soft tissue work is such an underused performance tool in most people’s active lifestyle, especially athletes. Tess is here to show her clients how crucial proper soft tissue work can be to their overall wellbeing. Tess provides a variety of soft tissue work but specializes in deep tissue, cupping therapy, IASTM, musculoskeletal injuries and fascial work.
