Dr. Cory is passionate about helping people create and sustain ease and freedom in their body. As a young athlete and dancer, he received his bachelor’s degree in dance, with honors from Barat College. He has a deep regard for the tradition of yoga and has completed numerous teacher training certificates in addition to his many years of teaching. Cory was a member of the Esalen Massage Crew from 2009 - 2011. He also taught weekly and monthly yoga programs while at Esalen. Cory has continued to offer bodywork since 2009 and has been a student of Dr. Eric Rubin of Northpoint Chiropractic since 2015. He graduated Life Chiropractic College West, with clinical honors. He enjoys working with prenatal clients, infants, toddlers, children and adults. His work is expressed with extensive soft tissue work, dynamic stretches, the integration of tension through Bio-Geometric Integration, structural chiropractic adjustments, and light and energetic touch via the more subtle modalities of Craniosacral and Reiki. In his spare time, Cory enjoys meditation, yoga, reading, hiking, sports, tossing the frisbee, rope swings and dancing.
The session will offer varying depths of touch. There will be light to deep qualities of touch depending on what types of tension the body is carrying. There will be soft tissue manipulation and if needed adjustments to the structural layer. The intention is to find and integrate the tension into the body for it to be expressed in a more refined vitalistic way. Also to have the spine be aligned and the nervous system to be free of interference.
