Dr. Pamela Thornton is a naturopathic doctor and leader in women’s health, with over 25 years of clinical experience supporting women through fertility, perimenopause, menopause, and complex hormonal transitions. Her work is rooted in a deeply integrative, evidence-informed approach that honours the interconnected nature of physical, emotional, and hormonal health. Pamela earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Guelph and graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1998. She has contributed to the advancement of naturopathic medicine through her service on the boards of both the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Doctors. In 2016, she completed her Therapeutic Prescribing Exam, expanding her scope to include prescription therapies. She further advanced her expertise in hormone care through the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s Essential Elements of Prescription Hormone Compounding. The integration of bioidentical hormone therapy has significantly enhanced her ability to support women navigating complex endocrine challenges with clarity and precision. Dr. Thornton is the co-owner of The World of My Baby (The WOMB) Woodstock and serves as the Director of Care for the naturopathic doctors across all WOMB locations. She is also the creator of Thriving Through Change, a signature program supporting women through perimenopause with a personalized, physiology-based approach that reflects her broader philosophy of thoughtful, whole-person care. A passionate educator and speaker, Pamela regularly shares her knowledge on women’s health, hormone therapy, and integrative medicine. She is known for her ability to translate complex physiology into clear, meaningful strategies that empower women to better understand and care for their bodies. Her philosophy is grounded in the belief that true health is not simply the absence of disease, but a dynamic balance of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She has deepened this work through training as a HeartMath Certified Practitioner and as a graduate of the Hoffman Process. As a mother of three, Pamela brings both clinical expertise and lived experience to her work. She is deeply committed to supporting women and families through all stages of life, and to building community-centered, accessible models of care. Known for her thoughtful listening and ability to see the whole picture, Dr. Thornton creates personalized care plans that are both strategic and compassionate helping women move from confusion and imbalance to clarity, resilience, and long-term vitality.
