Tamara Cormier is a Registered Kinesiologist and Yoga Therapist with over a decade of experience working with clients to help them feel their best and reach their goals! Tamara has always had a passion for movement and has seen and experienced the incredible impact movement, stillness, and breath can have on health and wellness. After completing her degree in Kinesiology at McMaster University, she discovered Yoga and has never looked back. She realized the incredible potential in combining yoga training with her education, which led her to finding yoga therapy and integrating its concepts into her clinical practices. She is continually learning and integrating new knowledge and perspective into her practice. She has completed a number of continuing education courses including Osteoporosis Canada’s BoneFit Certification and then Urban Poles Instructor Certification. Her approach to movement is based in anatomy and biomechanics and addresses underlying patterns and compensations that are contributing to pain, dysfunction and limiting her clients. Tamara is passionate about educating and empowering clients, including them as active participants in their care. She sees each person as the unique individual they are, and works with clients to create an individualized program that addresses their specific needs, goals, and circumstances. She believes in the possibility and potential within each of us, that we can feel better and access that which we truly desire. She works with clients of all ages (kids & teens too!) who are eager to feel better, move better and reach their goals! In addition to seeing clients one-to-one Tamara teaches group classes and workshops. Outside of the clinic Tamara enjoys yoga, dance, the outdoors, travel and spending time with her family and friends!
Clients who are new to the clinic, and/or have not had a physiotherapy or kinesiology assessment in the past 3 months and/or have a NEW injury, will need to book a Kinesiology Assessment.
