Heric is a physiotherapist from São Paulo, Brazil, holding a degree in Biological Science and Physical Therapy earned in 2004. Apart from his studies, Heric played professional team handball in Brazil and was part of the national team during the 2000-2004 Olympic cycle. He concluded his sports career when he moved to Canada in 2005. With over 14 years of experience in Calgary, Alberta, he relocated to Vancouver Island with his family in 2019. Specializing in Sports & Musculoskeletal issues and Chronic Pain since the beginning of his practice, he expanded his expertise in 2009 to include helping patients with dizziness, vertigo, and balance problems. In 2013, he achieved Competency in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University in Atlanta, USA. Heric adopts an active and evidence-based approach to physiotherapy, emphasizing education, movement and exercise therapy, manual therapy techniques, and dry needling for a person-centred experience. Outside the clinic, he stays active with resistance training and running. He practices what he preaches, and in his free time, he explores Vancouver Island with his wife and daughter.
