Melanie graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy in 2022. She has always had a love for movement and a desire to learn more about the complexity of the human body. This led her to pursue a career teaching yoga for the past 8 years. She has taught in a variety of settings, ranging from studio classes, corporate yoga, workshops, and offering continuing education to newer Yoga Teachers. Melanie more recently completed a Sports Science diploma at Douglas College specializing in Kinesiology, this inspired her to further her studies at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy. As a massage therapist she strives first and foremost to create a safe and inclusive space for her patients. She strives to create personalized treatment plans for each individual and customize home care to her patients unique needs. Melanie has most recently completed continuing education credits in treatment of TMJ dysfunction. She is trained in techniques such as neuromuscular massage, deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point release, Swedish massage, joint mobilization, stretch therapy and pregnancy massage. When Melanie isn’t working you can find her walking in the trails with her dog Lewis, or running on the seawall!

Registered Massage Therapy is a hands on session using both manual therapy and myofascial techniques to relieve muscle tension, pain and restore mobility. Your therapist may give you additional stretching or exercises that complement the target areas of your treatment. Your therapist will ask for your feedback on your preference for pressure applied during the session. Please wear comfortable clothing.
