Dr. Michelle Pobega, ND is in the business of transformations. She helps her clients feel their best, find their confidence, improve their self-esteem, and shine bright by helping them take back control of their embarrassing and uncomfortable digestive problems. Michelle is no stranger to bloating and bellyaches. Digestion has been her weakest link since university. While completing 4 years of undergrad at McMaster University, she stressed out emotionally and mentally, stayed up excessively late to study, and ate her feelings (which was typically an abundance of chocolates and coffee). The effects of these behaviors snowballed and followed her to The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She developed food sensitivities (gluten is still her worst enemy) and “Irritable Bowel Syndrome” (IBS) with symptoms like bloating, abdominal pains, gas, etc; she taxed her adrenal glands (stress glands) and often felt like she was on an emotional rollercoaster, all of which made her digestion worse. It left her feeling defeated, self-conscious, out of control, exhausted, and miserable. Thankfully, her time studying naturopathic medicine helped her recognize what was going on and begin to systematically address it. She was able to successfully manage her digestion and in turn, was able to find her confidence and feel comfortable in her own skin again. The journey of healing herself inspired her focus on helping others optimize their digestion, take control back of their lives, feel empowered, and thrive. Dr. Michelle, ND has completed a four year Honors Bachelor of Science degree from McMaster University, followed by four years of full-time study at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She is registered to practice and regulated by The College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO) and is a member in good standing with both the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Naturopathic Medicine.
