Mountainview Movement Massage and Wellness

James believes in patient centred care and prides himself in being a compassionate and empathic therapist, creating a tailored treatment using deep tissue, Swedish massage, and Myofascial Release techniques, as well as possessing additional training and certification in Craniosacral Therapy Level 1 & 2. James welcomes all kinds of patients including, but not limited to; sports-based injury, TMJ dysfunction, motor vehicle accident recovery (including ICBC), postural concerns, and relaxation based appointments. Using the knowledge he gained in his training at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy (VCMT) where he graduated with honours, as well as the experiences of working with a diverse population of patients, James looks forward to bringing a calm and relaxing atmosphere to every treatment with a focus on active rehabilitation and patient empowerment James has always been an outdoor person, playing a wide variety of team sports, and unfortunately, that brings with it its fair share of injuries. These experiences allowed him to understand just how difficult life can be when you are recovering from an injury, and how patients play an active role in their recovery. This knowledge inspired him to help others return to their optimum functional selves. When not working, you can find James spending time outdoors, at the gym or hanging with his best friend and companion, his dog Chet.
