Christina graduated from the University of British Columbia Masters of Physical Therapy in 2010. She is passionate towards her work as a Physiotherapist and finds it most rewarding when she is able to alleviate her clients’ pain and improve their movements, physical function, and lifestyle. She takes the time to perform a thorough assessment and design her treatments accordingly. She enjoys educating her clients so they understand the root cause of their problems, which will, therefore, enable them to take a proactive approach so they can get better and stay well. Christina is dedicated to continuing education and have taken numerous courses throughout the years. She is a certified Gokavi Transverse Technique (GTT) Practitioner for dry needling/intramuscular stimulation (IMS) and is also certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute to perform acupuncture. Christina has experiences and special interests in treating acute and chronic muscular tension and pain, motor vehicle accidents, work-related injuries, sports injuries, repetitive strain injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, facial nerve palsy, and vestibular/balance issues. As a mother of two, she also has a keen interest in treating pregnant and post-partum women. She is a certified pelvic floor therapist and a Rost Therapy clinician for management of pregnancy-related pelvic girdle, sacro-Iliac and pubic pain. She enjoys helping women understand their bodies as they go through the journey of pregnancy, birth and motherhood, so they can be better prepared and safely continue doing what they love.
This is an 60 minute INITIAL Physiotherapy session. Please wear clothing that allows for exposure of the injured region. Arrive at least 10 minutes early for this initial appointment. This session will include initial assessment, history taking, physical assessment and treatment.
