Osteopathy

Osteopathic Manual Therapy is to be utilized for follow-up, ongoing and maintenance treatments. * If it has been 2+ years without receiving an Osteopathic treatment from myself, please book an Initial Osteopathic Assessment* Osteopathy is a holistic form of manual therapy aimed at improving heath across all body systems. Osteopathic Manual therapy is a comprehensive assessment of the entire body and all of its tissue layers (fascial; muscular; connective; bone/joint). Treatment is gentle and non-invasive. In an effort to restore proper alignment and balance, it is applied where asymmetries and immobility within your framework would indicate obstruction(s) to tissue health. Along with musculoskeletal alignment, Osteopathy promotes physiological health by liberating the lines of communication within the body: blood flow; nerve signalling; lymphatic flow; hormone regulation. These pathways are what allow the body to self-heal and self regulate. Follow-up; Ongoing; or Maintenance treatments are condensed compared to Initial Assessment. The treatment remains comprehensive but is aimed at building upon prior treatment. Once treatment is concluded, Osteopathic findings will be summarized and explained to the patient. Treatment progress will be discussed between the patient and practitioner, as well as the most effective strategy, including frequency, for ongoing treatment.

  • Musculoskeletal assessment and whole-body assessment for functional balance.
  • Manipulative treatment for restoring joint mobility and alignment.
  • Soft tissue techniques to address muscular tension and dysfunction.
  • Visceral manipulative treatment for dysfunctions of internal organs.
  • Prenatal and pregnancy-related musculoskeletal care and treatment.
