Ever since James was young, he always wanted to help others through healthcare. As he got into fitness in University, he pushed himself too hard and injured his low back, leading to months of sciatic pain. He credited the success of his recovery through seeking physiotherapy and consistency in his rehab exercises. Despite this setback on his journey, this led him to value physiotherapy to the point of wanting to become a physiotherapist himself. James’ passion for health, physical activity and caring for the quality of life of people, all intertwined to influence this career decisions. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and then graduated from the Masters of Science in Physiotherapy program at Brunel University in London, UK. James has treated many acute and chronic orthopedic conditions as well as for injury prevention. He believes in taking an eclectic and empowering approach, whereby patients can best recover – using education, individualized exercise prescription, modalities like shockwave therapy and manual therapies including cupping, Mulligan’s technique and soft tissue release. Outside of the clinic, James enjoys traveling, playing sports and finding the new foodie spot in town. Please note: James’ direct billing registration with Medavie Blue Cross is currently still being processed. Due to higher-than-normal registration volumes, patients covered under Medavie Blue Cross will need to pay for services upfront and submit their claims independently for reimbursement, provided they are eligible under their insurance plan.
