Hi! I’m Dr. Amita. I bring you and your family a variety of in-patient hospital and community experience having worked as a nurse and naturopathic doctor for a combined 30 years. I am deeply passionate about helping patients on their journey to optimal wellness and seek to identify and address the root cause of disease to create lasting functional improvements in quality of life and overall health and well-being. I see patients in my general family health practice and treat a variety of conditions including mental health, women’s health (PCOS, PMS, endometriosis, fibroids, menopause), men’s health (cardiovascular, prostate), pediatrics, along with a special interest in supporting patients with cancer at all stages. I use standard and naturopathic diagnostic tests to formulate diagnoses and can recommend naturopathic treatments that complement conventional medical treatments or be used effectively on their own. When designing a unique and individualized treatment plan for my patients, I use every tool in my toolkit and may even consider incorporating prescribed bioidentical hormones, including dessicated thyroid, intravenous infusion vitamin therapy (IVIT) and/or injection therapy when needed. I’m also a mom to two amazing teenage boys living a life of fulfillment in following my passion for all things transformational in health and living. I approach life with a strong growth mindset ever seeking self-improvement and thus offer patients a distinctive blend of conventional medical knowledge with traditional healing wisdom to encourage change and provide a truly integrated approach to healthcare.
