Holistic Wellness Physiotherapy
Luke joins the Sport Science Rehab & Performance Team with a rare mix of top-tier academic training and lived experience as a professional athlete. Most recently he directed strength and conditioning for Acadia University’s men’s & women’s soccer programs, where he built evidence-driven off-season plans, speed and agility curricula, and collaborative return-to-play pathways with athletic therapy. That integrated approach mirrors our own belief that “teams working together drive the best results.” Luke earned his Master of Applied Kinesiology (Exercise Science) at Acadia after graduating Dean’s Honour Roll from the University of Manitoba’s Bachelor of Kinesiology program. His graduate research centred on velocity-based training and load-velocity profiling—tools he now uses daily to individualize workloads, predict 1RM, and keep athletes progressing safely. A former CFL wide-receiver with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Luke understands championship culture first-hand and channels that “small-town people, big-league experience” mindset into every session. From youth prospects to national-level competitors, he is passionate about turning objective sport-science data into practical, confidence-building results. Credentials & Highlights - CSEP-Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP) - NSCA-Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) - CPR & Standard First Aid Strength-coach experience with varsity soccer, rugby, hockey, and community sport teams Internship work with Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic, supporting national and Olympic athletes Presenter at the 2025 APES+ Conference on individualized velocity-based training monitoring When he isn’t coaching, Luke can be found testing new sprint drills, perfecting his pour-over coffee technique, or exploring Ottawa’s running trails. He is excited to help our athletes and rehab clients turn hard science into peak performance, one purposeful rep at a time.
