Chiropractic
Please book this appointment if you have never had an Initial Assessment at Lemon Water Wellness or if you have not seen a Chiropractor at our clinic in over 18 months. Chiropractic is a non-invasive, hands on health care discipline that focuses on the neuromusculoskeletal system. Chiropractors are primary contact healthcare professionals trained to assess, diagnose and treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Our Chiropractic Doctors have a holistic approach to wellness, meaning they not only look for the underlying cause of your symptoms, but also locate any disruptions or disturbances in the body that interfere with the nervous system and restrict normal function. Chiropractic interventions are then applied to help optimize conditions for normal function to be restored. These interventions include, but are not limited to, chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, soft tissue therapy and lifestyle modifications. What is a chiropractic adjustment? It is a procedure used to apply a controlled but quick (high velocity, low amplitude) thrust to a joint. The goal of the adjustment is to correct the alignment, create movement, and improve the body’s function by optimizing joint health, vessel and nerve function, and communication with the brain. A “popping” noise, known as a “cavitation”, may or may not accompany the adjustment and is not an indication of a successful adjustment, rather it is a possible benign side effect of the technique. Although the sound may be loud and scary to hear it is simply the release of gaseous elements from a tight fluid filled joint and is not harmful in any way.
- Joint mobilizations and chiropractic spinal adjustments for pain relief.
- Soft tissue therapy and trigger point release to reduce muscle tension.
- Acupuncture adjuncts to support musculoskeletal pain management.
- Mobility work and rehabilitation for improved movement and function.
- TMJ (jaw) diagnosis and hands-on treatment to relieve dysfunction.

Physiotherapy
Book this appointment if you have never seen one of our Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists or it has been 18 months since your last Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy appointment at Lemon Water Wellness. At your first appointment, we spend at least half the visit speaking about individual concerns, your pelvic health history and your goals for treatment. Each session is individual to fit your specific needs and comfort level. The physical exams entail a general observation of posture, orthopaedic assessment of the low back, sacrum, hips and core muscles. We usually then perform an internal exam vaginally or rectally depending on your comfort level. The internal exam reveals a lot of useful information about muscle strength, control and endurance, but patients can also benefit greatly from non-internal pelvic physiotherapy. Our main goal in pelvic physio is to inform and empower our patients through compassionate care.
